SpeakEasy Page-to-Stage: Sport & Movement through Spoken Word & Poetry

This workshop will explore the benefits and challenges that the Black and Global Majority community has faced in sport. It will be a blend of spoken word and physical movement, and will explore such themes as teamwork, well-being and subverting gender stereotypes. Poetic forms studied will include free verse, ekphrastic writing and blackout poetry.

The workshop is for individuals aged 18 and above. Participants do not have to be personally engaged in sport.
