The Poem Hinges on the Image! - A Bad Betty Summer School Online Course

The Bad Betty Summer School is offering a six-week online poetry course run by poets published by Bad Betty Press.

These sessions will be an exploratory course on image – finding the right image for the poem, using imagery to ‘turn’ the line, the stanza, the verse and composing images which live, on the page and in performance, as experiential moments for both poet and reader. There will also be time dedicated to explore symbolism, sequence sensation, sonics, and play with ekphrastic jukeboxes as a means to discover possibilities for new poems or revitalise existing work.

There will be online resources and poems from Selima Hill, Kim Addonizio, Terrance Hayes, Charles Tomlinson, Ocean Vuong, and more available throughout.
