Voice and Surprise: An Approach to Ekphrasis with Tara Bergin

Poet Tara Begin is running an online poetry workshop exploring the balance between ‘the lyric impulse’ and the ‘mind thinking’. This workshop encourages poets to experiment with voice in their work, using visual art as a starting point. Through a series of writing exercises in response to artworks and the language of art, students are welcome to produce new drafts of that pushes the boundaries of the ekphrastic poem.
