Writing in Relation: a Poetry Workshop with Alycia Pirmohamed

Poet and facilitator Alycia Pirmohamed is running a poetry workshop alongside the87press exploring one’s relation to their histories.

This workshop will use poetry that explores these entanglements, thinking about collectivity, shifting personal and political narratives, and how one can consciously or unconsciously write toward/to another. Hybrid, cross-genre works, docu-poetics, and poetry containing intertextual elements will be incorporated throughout.

There will also be time for close reading, discussion, and writing exercises.
