Iris Colomb: Try! Try! Try! Again!

24 July 2025 – 4 January 2026

An upside down person with their hanging off their head reads off a small piece of white paper.

Try! Try! Try! Again! was a specially commissioned response to Dance Your Way Home, a summer of events at the Southbank Centre which celebrated dance, dancefloors and movement.

The exhibition featured a selection of works by Iris Colomb which engaged with language visually and sonically through poetic objects and physical constraints as well as chance, improvisation and duration.

A poet and artist who is always searching for new ways of making, performing and experiencing poetry, Colomb’s projects invite us to revel in new poetic possibilities. From artist books to body art, her work creates a sense of unpredictability through indeterminate outcomes, disrupting the traditional boundaries between artist and audience.

Iris Colomb: Try! Try! Try! Again! ran at the National Poetry Library from Thursday 24 July 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026.
