Dive into the archives: A Young Poetry Network challenge with Modern Poetry in Translation

The Young Poets Network is joining up with the Modern Poetry in Translation (MPT) for this new challenge.

This new challenge invites you to write a poem in response to MPT’s archive.

The archive contains poems, editorial notes, essays (features), reviews and podcasts. You might imagine archives as boxes and folders of documents and texts stored in physical spaces, but a large amount of the MPT archive exists online.

Explore the Young Poets Network for prompts and tips on how to start crafting your poem in response. This challenge is free to enter and open to young poets worldwide aged 5-25 on the deadline date.

Prize: Selected winners will be published on Young Poets Network and will receive a range of prizes including poetry books and ebooks; publication in Modern Poetry in Translation in print; past issues of MPT; and a free annual subscription to the magazine.
