Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition

Now open for entries, the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition is looking for original, unpublished and unbroadcast works.

Poems can be on any subject, and in any style, but must be in English and of 40 lines or less. The competition is open to international poets, however translated work is not accepted.

First Prize: €2,000, featured reading at Cork International Poetry Festival, featured on the Southword Poetry Podcast, and publication in Southword.

Second Prize: €500 and publication in Southword.

Third Prize: €250 and publication in Southword

Ten Runners up: €50 and publication in Southword.
