Wirral Poetry Festival OPen Poetry Competition 2026

The Wirral Poetry Festival Open Poetry Competition is open to all. In addition to the open prizes there are an additional 3 special prizes reserved for poets from the Liverpool City Region (LCR).
There is a small charge of £4 per poem entered (or £10 for 3 poems). Cash prizes ranging from £25 to £250 will be awarded to winning poets. The adjudicators are Helen Ivory, Martin Figura and Anna Saunders.
To be eligible for the prizes reserved for the LCR, the postcode of competitor’s home address must be from one of the following LCR boroughs: Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
