OWN IT! with Salena Godden, MC Angel & Derek Owusu
Join us for a vibrant night of poetry, performance and comedy from independent publishing house OWN IT!
Catch a line-up featuring Ify Adenuga, JJ Bola, Speech Debelle, Kevin George, Salena Godden, Ashley Hickson-Lovence, Jill Johnson, Reggie Nelson, MC Angel, Derek Owusu, Quincy the Comedian, Ray Shell, Emma Warren and Jude Yawson as we celebrate the stories and people that have shaped OWN IT!’s journey.
Founded in 2015 by Crystal Mahey-Morgan and Jason Morgan to address underrepresentation in the arts, OWN IT! began as a publisher and quickly expanded into a literary, film and TV agency, and, most recently, a production company.
Over the last decade, OWN IT! has worked with dynamic voices including Sian Anderson, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Idris Elba, Courttia Newland, Toni Tone and Reggie Yates among many others, cultivating a space where literature meets music, performance and culture.
Whether long-time supporters or new faces, all are welcome to experience what makes the UK’s creative scene so extraordinary.
Presented in association with OWN IT!
