Ballet Besties with Yasmine Naghdi

Put your best foot forward as principal ballerina Yasmine Naghdi shares her debut children’s book series, Ballet Besties, celebrating the joy of dance.

Two people stand next to each other, Yasmine (left) wears a pink jumper and Chitra (right) wears a blue and green shirt.

Journey into the Shimmer & Shine community dance school and meet all Yara’s friends with an interactive event with Yasmine Naghdi as she shares Ballet Besties: Yara’s Chance to Dance and Ballet Besties: Indu’s Time to Shine, co-authored with Chitra Soundar.

Naghdi shares her inspiration for the books and also talks about her dancing career, demonstrating key ballet items and dance positions, and getting volunteers engaged on stage.

Naghdi is a Principal of The Royal Ballet and has been dancing with the company since 2010. She has performed all over the world and is passionate about showing that ballet is for everyone.
