futuretense
futuretense is where you find your next musical obsession
Twice every month, these free gigs share the sounds of the future, providing a platform for up and coming British and international musicians.

futuretense runs twice per month in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer. Attendance is free and no booking is required.
We pick artists to play futuretense because we believe they have the potential to go far – these artists deserve the spotlight, and we want to give it to them.
As well as being your chance to discover your next favourite act, it’s a powerful development and showcase opportunity for artists, putting them in front of agents, promoters, record labels and music publishers.
The initiative is part of the Southbank Centre’s commitment to developing artists and supporting the creative industries. By giving a platform to artists at the grassroots level, we intend to drive culture forward, making space for new and exciting artists to break through.
