Hekayyatna: Yalla, Speak!

Sun 9 Aug 2026, 1pm

Arabic for ‘let’s go’, Yalla calls for an afternoon of movement, laughter and collective noise rooted in the SWANA experience.

Run time 5 hours (approx)
Free – no ticket required

Hekayyatna is Arabic for ‘our stories’, and the organisation was set up to bring people together to explore the questions that matter through conversation, creativity and shared discovery.

It does this through live events, productions and participatory experiences across London and beyond.

Full-line up to be announced.

Part of the Southbank Centre’s Riverside Sessions, which run throughout the summer to mark our 75th birthday. All the events are curated by young people, but they’re aimed at everyone. So whether you’re 15 or 75, come along to connect with the energy, complexity and joy of youth.
