Join us for an evening with the author of The Argonauts as she gives a live reading from her recent work, The Slicks, and from her meditation on love and grief, Bluets.
Exploring Sylvia Plath and Taylor Swift as cultural twins, The Slicks’s genre-defying work melds popular culture and literary criticism to examine the forces of female ambition, creativity and fame in the face of patriarchal barriers.
Nelson, a writer described by singer Kim Gordon as ‘inventive, fearless and full of heart’, also opens the floor to your questions in a Q&A session.
