Relaxed Sessions: Acrobalance with Mimbre

Sat 3 Oct 2026, 11am

Unlock your own acroskills and create human pyramids at an inclusive workshop with Mimbre’s professional acrobats and be amazed by their gravity-defying antics.

Part of Open Doors

Watch the professionals as Mimbre dismantles big problems into moments of laughter in an extract from Weight(less) – a performance combining acrobatics, movement and humour.

Then dive into some of the foundations of acrobalance and how to tell stories using our bodies. Learn and practice your own acroskills, creating human pyramids and daring counterbalances with the people you came with or friends you’ve just met, in a session tailored for everybody.

Mimbre are a woman-led producing company, creating acrobatic theatre for outdoor and unusual settings. They run a vibrant local youth programme and an artist development programme for physical performers.

Relaxed Sessions are the perfect place to start the weekend, specially designed for children and families who would benefit from a sensory adapted space and a smaller group experience.

At 2.45pm, following the Saturday Session, we end the afternoon with Ballroom Boogie x Toasty Tots XL from DJ collective BORN N BREAD. Please join us for a dance!

  • Fixed lighting state with no sudden changes
  • Moderate sound levels and no extreme or sudden changes in noise
  • Curtains partly drawn to reduce distractions and noise

  • A team member present who specialises in play for children with SEND
  • A rest space available nearby available from 10.30am – 3.30pm
  • Noise-cancelling headphones on request
