An evening bringing together writers who have each found their own language for male interiority – for the parts of masculinity that rarely make it onto the page.
What does writing make possible that other forms can’t? What does it cost? And what does it open up?
This compassionate discussion considers what tenderness looks like when written by men, about men. It peers into how writers find language for softness, grief and intimacy and what fiction can unlock that other forms can’t.
Joining the discussion are author Tomasz Jedrowski (Swimming in the Dark), writer and film-maker Caleb Azumah Nelson (Open Water and Small Worlds), Cenac Rollins (Now Burns Blue) and more to be announced.
