SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS: Concrete & Confetti
The south-east London radical art collective sprinkle their magic to create a celebration for everyone, with live music, cabaret, poetry and crafts.
Concrete & Confetti is a birthday party for everyone! Expect sash and badge making, cabaret, music and poetry with touches of delightful magic throughout.
It’s our 75th birthday this year, and what better way to celebrate than with an ode to the birthday party itself. Taking those treasured memories of celebrations growing up, Concrete & Confetti shares the joy of a fabulous big old party.
Soundtracking the day are SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS DJs and closing out the night is live music to make you move because it’s your birthday (maybe).
SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS create work that responds to our time, making urgent, accessible cultural interventions that are energetic, raw and fun. With a practice spanning theatre, sound, film, fashion, music, zine making and youth-led research, the only thing predictable is that they are sure to make a mess on stage, leaving behind a trail of chaos.
This event is part of the Southbank Centre’s Riverside Sessions, running throughout the summer as part of our 75th birthday celebrations. Curated by young people, the programme invites audiences of all ages to explore youth as a mindset, not a number.
