Dua Lipa & Mustafa: Nour

Sat 24 Oct 2026, 8pm

Poetry that moves us is central to Mustafa’s luminous 2025 poetry collection Nour, meaning ‘light’ in Arabic, and to today’s discussion with his friend Dua Lipa.

Dua Lipa sits down with Mustafa, the Sudanese Canadian poet, singer, songwriter and film-maker, for an intimate conversation about the poems that move them.

Together they discuss Nour, which Mustafa made available for free in 2025, hoping it would be found by those who most need it.

Drawing on themes of faith, ceremony and worship, Nour is a mediation on religious devotion, love, grief, and the beauty of everyday rituals.

Mustafa talks about his lifelong relationship with poetry, and, together, he and Dua Lipa discuss their poetry idols.

With readings by special guests.
