    Mixing It Up: Painting Today opens in the Hayward Gallery from Thursday 9 September. Members go free as usual, but you can pre-book your ticket now.

    Our website remains fully operational. All Membership benefits, including paying no booking fees and accessing presale tickets, remain available to you.

    Yes, you can renew your Membership easily on our website – and doing so would make a huge difference to us. The costs related to reopening our venues are large, so your continued support of the Southbank Centre is more important to us, and to the arts, than ever.

    How does Membership work?

    Enjoy year-round free entry to the Hayward Gallery’s latest exhibitions including current show Mixing It Up: Painting Today.

    Get the first chance to book for all our go-down-in-history gigs, blockbuster talks and sublime classical concerts. We will keep you in the know through our weekly culture fix emails. 

    Our Members’ Lounge is open and we look forward to welcoming you back for pre-show tipples and knockout views of the Thames.

    You can treat yourself to a wide range of discounts at our online Southbank Centre Shop and at our shops, restaurants and pop-ups on site. 

    And, last but not least, you’ll be doing your bit to support the arts at a time when it’s more important than ever. Supporting the arts never felt so good.

    Southbank Centre Members have the chance to buy tickets before they go on general sale to the public, and presale tickets are available for Members on all of our events.

    As a Member, you get 20% off at Southbank Centre Shops, both on-site and online. There’s also 10% off at the bars and cafes across Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery and Queen Elizabeth Hall, plus the Roof Garden Cafe & Bar.

    Members also get the following discounts – just show your Membership card. Please check each outlet’s website for current opening restrictions:

    • 10% discount on all venue hire at Southbank Centre.
    • 10% off at Foyles, Riverside, Level 1
    • 20% off at Skylon on the entire food and drink bill when dining in the restaurant and grill. Available for up to six people, across à la carte and set menus for lunch and dinner. Plus, 10% discount on drinks and 20% discount on food and drinks (if bought together) at the Skylon Terrace Bar.
    • 20% off your bill at Giraffe.
    • 20% off when ordering from the à la carte menu at Ping Pong.

    You'll receive a confirmation email with your Membership number within a day of activating your Membership. The email also gives you some tips on how you can start using your benefits straight away.

    Gift Memberships are currently unavailable.

    Your payment covers a period of one year from the date we process your application. 

    Paying by direct debit? We’ll take your payment yearly, but we’ll let you know before we do so.

    At absolutely no extra cost to you, Gift Aid allows us to claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate to us. Gift Aid is a government scheme that helps charities like the Southbank Centre increase their income.

    Simply log in to your online account and choose the payment method – remember that you’re still eligible for the direct debit discount if it’s your first time using that payment method.

    If you set up a direct debit with us you’ll save money on the first year of your single or dual Membership. Your payment covers a period of one year from the date we process your application. We’ll take your direct debit payment every year, but we’ll let you know before we do so.

    The direct debit discount is only available in the first year you take out Membership using this payment method.

    Joint Membership means you can share all the benefits of Membership with another named person. You both get a Membership card, you can come together or independently, bring a guest each to the Members’ Lounge, and both get free entry to the Hayward Gallery

    Great news! You can get going with your Membership by following these steps:

    • Follow the link below to activate your Membership. 
    • Select either single Membership or joint Membership, and then choose the one-off payment option.  
    • At the checkout, input your unique activation code from your gift Membership package. 
    • You'll receive a confirmation email with your Membership number within a day of activating your Membership. The email also gives you some tips on how you can start using your benefits straight away.
