Throughout the year, we have events and activities for all the family, including Rug Rhymes, gamelan sessions, Pram Jam singing and dancing workshops, free Social Dances, family-friendly shows and more. Most Fridays, you can enjoy free music at lunchtime in Royal Festival Hall and each summer, watch out for free art and interactive pop-ups including our popular beach and fountain.
For our ticketed events, a limited allocation of half-price tickets is available for ages 16 and under.
Eat and drink at a variety of family-friendly eateries including Giraffe, Strada, Yo Sushi and our Riverside Terrace Cafe, which includes highchairs and small tables and chairs. Or check out the Southbank Centre Food Market for tasty treats and desserts from Fridays to Sundays. Alternatively, bring your own picnic and find a space in Royal Festival Hall. In winter, you can enjoy our winter market, perfect for Christmas gifts and delicious warming food and drink.
Facilities & access
Southbank Centre welcomes children and families throughout the year and provides world-class facilities to make your visit an enjoyable one. The site is fully accessible to pushchairs and wheelchair users. All our venues have public toilets with wheelchair access and baby changing facilities. There is a cloakroom available on Level 1, Royal Festival Hall. This is accessed via steps or platform lift from the Southbank Centre Square doors.
