Tickets to our events and exhibitions can be booked online, by telephone or in person.

What are concession tickets?

A limited allocation of concession tickets with a 25% discount are available for the following:

 

  • recipients of Universal or Pension Credit
  • full-time students
  • under 16s

 

Concession-priced tickets are sold on first-come-first-served basis, and once sold no further tickets are available by any method of booking. Concession prices may not be applicable on top price tickets for certain events. Please note discounts cannot be combined and you will be asked for suitable identification.

 

For some events, unlimited adult and child tickets are available based on the age of customer, and this will be stated clearly on the event page. Child tickets are valid for children under the age of 16.

What are multi-buy discounts?

Multi-buy discounts are available for selected events in our festivals and classical season. Your discount amount varies by event series and will be calculated as you add tickets to your shopping basket. The more events, the more you save.

 

To take advantage of our multi-buy offers look out for events displaying the yellow multi-buy label. You will be able to navigate back to the full list of events in each multi-buy by clicking the links below the titles on event pages or the multi-buy links in the 'what's on' listings.

Level 2 of Royal Festival Hall between 10am – 8pm daily

We operate cashless ticket desks between 10am and 5pm. All card payments are welcome.

 

There is no transaction fee when you book in person.

 

*There is no transaction fee for Members for any event.

What are your accepted payment methods?

We accept all major credit cards and Southbank Centre Gift Vouchers. We also accept cash for bookings made in person. 

 

Please note that the Ticket Office at Hayward Gallery is cash free. Visitors are still able to buy tickets with cash at the Ticket Office, Level 2, Royal Festival Hall.

 

Please do not email credit card details to us.

How can I collect my tickets?

Tickets can be sent via e-ticket or collected in-person at Southbank Centre. Tickets sent via post incur an extra charge of £1. You can nominate your preferred delivery method when purchasing your ticket.

 

To collect tickets for events at Royal Festival Hall, the Ticket Office can be found on Level 2.

 

To collect tickets for events at Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room, the Ticket Office can be found at the entrance.

 

To collect tickets for Hayward Gallery, the Ticket Office can be found in the foyer of the gallery.

 

ID is required for concession tickets.

How can I make a large group booking?

Group bookings cannot be made online. To make a group booking or find out more about visiting with a group, phone us from Monday – Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm or email us.

What is your policy on secondary ticketing?

Southbank Centre takes a strong view on secondary ticketing. We require the lead booker to attend (photo ID may be requested). Tickets can only be resold by Southbank Centre or one of its authorised agents.

 

We try to identify touted tickets and we contact third person resale sites and ask them to remove the tickets as resale is against our terms and conditions.  

How can I return or exchange unwanted tickets?

Tickets can be returned for a Credit Voucher valid for a year, or can be exchanged for another performance if they are received by the Ticket Office at least 48 hours before the performance.

 

This service is offered to the original purchaser of the tickets only and there is a transaction fee of £3 per ticket. Occasionally this service may not be available.

How do I get a refund if my event is cancelled due to the venue closures in light of the coronavirus?

Our Ticketing team are busy cancelling events and will be working hard to deal with refunds to the many hundreds of events that we have had to cancel already. You will receive an email from them with further information as soon as possible but this may take longer than we'd like – maybe up to 28 days. We're sorry for this as we are dealing with thousands of bookings. 

 

When you receive your email it will give you details of the refund process. One option is for you to choose to receive a credit note. It would be enormously helpful if you would consider accepting this option rather than a refund as it will help us to manage our cash flow in this very difficult moment. A credit note is valid for 12 months.

What if there is a change of programme or event?

If there is a major change to your chosen performance, we will contact you by email, letter, text or telephone.

Do you apply any booking fees?

Telephone bookings have a transaction fee of £4*

 

Online bookings have a reduced transaction fee of £3.50*

 

There is no transaction fee to book in person. Events that are free but ticketed do not have a transaction fee.

 

If you wish to receive tickets via post a £1 charge applies.

 

*No booking fees are charged for Southbank Centre Members.

Are there age recommendations for some events?

Babes in arms and children under seven cannot be admitted to classical concerts and some other events.
