Imagine celebrates the power of the imagination to help children flourish and believe in themselves. This annual fortnight of events at Southbank Centre gives children the chance to hear some of their favourite authors, join in at free family-friendly performances and explore their own creativity in fun workshops.

Come along for 11 days of jam-packed half-term fun in a festival run by kids for kids.

Enjoy the best children's theatre, literature and music, with plenty of workshops and free activities for children up to 12-years-old.

Immerse yourself in your favourite children’s classics, whether uncovering the magic of storytelling through pictures with Chris Riddell and Friends or listening to the popular rhyming stories of Julia Donaldson with a double-bill of The Gruffalo & Room on the Broom accompanied by whimsical orchestral music.

Discover our brand new immersive tour Adventures of Moominland and go on a journey in search of Moomins with author and illustrator Tove Jansson.

That's not all: more than half of our events are free, including a special screening of The Little Mermaid where the film is powered entirely by bicycles, interactive storytelling with Nimble Tots, the ultimate party for the whole family, Rave-A-Roo, and much more.

With hours of entertaining antics at Imagine Children's Festival, we have your half-term sorted.
