Southbank Centre’s performing arts programme takes productions and projects including music, theatre, cabaret and film around the UK and the world.
Working with other organisations wanting to present our work, and with the help of strategic touring-supporting funding, we take a wide range of Southbank Centre productions and commissions to venues around the UK and beyond.
As a centre of excellence for all things musical, Southbank Centre plays host to an extraordinary range of sounds. One partnership we’re very excited about brought the inspirational Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste from Kinshasa to the UK for the first time.
Southbank Centre has collaborated with a number of partners leading to tours of some of our most interesting and varied work, including The Queen’s Knickers and Limbo.
In response to demand from venues and festivals around the world, Southbank Centre has enabled projects to have lives beyond their premiere productions in London, including Planet of the Apes, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Brief Encounter and Icarus at the Edge of Time.
