Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet
A free six-part creative project to build connections to the world around us
Poems for Our Planet brought art and inspiration to the home in 2023, with poetry and art activities that engaged with nature and the effects of the climate crisis.
Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet has produced a series of films by Chuck Blue Lowry, in which participants, health and social care professionals, and artists share their experiences of the national project which took place over a six-month period from February to July 2023.

Evaluation Engagement
In this film, participants and group leaders share how they engaged with the activities in the Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet booklets and how it benefited their wellbeing.
Inclusion
This film shows how the project connected participants from across the UK and created a community which centred the experience of those who may find it difficult to leave their homes or access their local arts centre. As the project could be accessed entirely via the post and over the phone if needed, it further supported people who might be digitally excluded from accessing culture and engagement online.

This film revisits the Art by Post: Poems for Our Planet sharing event held at the Southbank Centre in late 2023, featuring poetry readings, an installation by Ackroyd & Harvey and vinyl poetry.
